How to Request an Official Letter of Invitation for Visa Purposes  

Thank you for your interest in the 2008 IAP2 International Conference - being held August 27-29, 2008 in Glasgow, Scotland. 

As an international attendee, it may be necessary to receive a letter of invitation to obtain your travel visa.    Letters of invitation will be sent upon individual request.  Such an invitation is extended specifically to help participants obtain travel visas and does not imply any commitment on the part of IAP2 to provide financial support for travel or registration expenses or other means of support.   

Eligible Applicants  
At least one of the following criteria must be met to request a letter of invitation.  The requesting party must either:
  • Be a current member of IAP2
  • Be delivering a session at the event
  • Have registered and paid for all event fees in advance  
To request a letter of invitation send an email to iap2hq@iap2.org.  Please clearly state:
  1. Your full legal name as it appears on your passport, your complete mailing address, phone number, and email address.
  2. Your passport number and country of issue.
  3. A brief summary (1-2 paragraphs) explaining your organization’s mandate and your interest in attending the 2008 conference.   
Delivery of Letter of Invitation  
All letters of invitation will be sent by email unless a Federal Express account number or credit card number with expiration date and the card holder’s name is provided on the original request.   

Approved requests will be processed within 5 business days of receipt of a completed and qualified registration form.   

IAP2 does not accept responsibility for unsuccessful visa applications.  Registrations fees for denied requests will be refunded in full. Letters of invitation from IAP2 do not constitute an endorsement for the international attendee nor does IAP2 intervene with decisions made by the issuing country. IAP2 does not sponsor travel for international attendees.  IAP2 reserves the right to decline any request for a letter of invitation. 

IAP2 has 501(3)(c) charity status in USA and is able to receive donations from within the USA.
