The Program and Design Team: Chaired by Stephani Roy McCallum, President, Circle Associates – Public Involvement & Stakeholder Relations, this Team has the important job of designing the conference, recruiting keynote speakers, selecting great sessions, and creating a stellar lineup for participants to enjoy.  Their job includes building knowledge, networking and connecting participants, creating opportunities for small and large group dialogues and plenary sessions, providing a strong cultural and arts component, arranging great capacity-building and learning opportunities, and rounding out the whole thing with fun social activities.  They have their work cut out for them and could use your help. Please contact Stephani at circle.associates@rogers.com or (613) 302-2235.

The Conference Training Team: Chaired by Wendy Green Lowe, member of IAP2 Board of Directors, and Chair of IAP2’s Training Committee, this Team is responsible for soliciting, reviewing, and selecting great training offerings to ensure beginner, intermediate, and advanced in-depth learning opportunities are provided for conference attendees.  Please contact Wendy at wendy@p2-solution.com or by phone at 208-523-6668.

Research Team: Co-chaired by Beth Offenbacker and Katherine Beavis of IAP2’s Board of Directors and co-chairs of the IAP2 Research Committee, this team is responsible for ensuring a dedicated research track at the conference, and reaching out academics and students at colleges, universities, and research institutions around the globe.  If you want to help out, please contact Beth at Beth@WaterfordInc.com or by phone at 703-638-4815 or Katherine at kbeavis@shaw.ca or by phone at 604-988-7490.

Communications Team: This team needs a chair or co-chairs!  The Communications Team is responsible for communications and information, coalition building, partnerships, creating information for an interactive and informative website, and spreading the word about the conference.  Contact Stephani or Jean-Francois to volunteer or take a lead role on this team. Outreach Team: This team needs a chair or co-chairs! The Outreach Team will develop, plan, and implement a local community outreach project that builds capacity for public involvement in Montreal and potentially in other communities by recruiting practitioners to give some of their skills back to the community in collaboration with a local organization.  Results of the project will be presented at the conference.  If you want to get involved,  Jean Francois can be reached at jfviau@ville.montreal.qc.ca or by phone at 514-872-3568.  Stephani can be reached at circle.associates@rogers.com or by phone at 613-302-2235.

The Fundraising Team: Chaired by Jean-Francois Viau, this team is tasked with the incredibly important work of raising financial and in-kind contributions to ensure Décision Montreal is a resounding success.  This team will also administer scholarships to ensure that participants from organizations or groups who might normally be unable to participate can take part in this special event.  If you have skills in this area (or would like to contribute!), please contact Jean-Francois at jfviau@ville.montreal.qc.ca or by phone at 514-872-3568.

Logistics Team: Dina Alengi Storz of IAP2’s Head Office in Denver, Colorado, USA, chairs this team which is responsible for the Core Values Gala, receptions, details of exhibits, registration, audio visual, translation, simultaneous interpretation, hospitality, food, room set-up, hotels, Internet access, volunteer coordination, and much more.  If you are interested in helping out, please contact Dina at dina@imigroup.org or by phone at 1-800-644-4273 or 1-303-451-5945 outside North America.

Evaluation/Assessment Team: This is a place where we need another important volunteer to take on a leadership role! This group will keep the Planning and Coordination Team on track by developing clear goals, objectives, and principles for the conference, and keeping track of these throughout the planning process.  The team will also engage participants in evaluating the conference itself to ensure continuous improvement during the event and for planning of future conferences, as well as sharing the story of the conference with all participants after everyone has returned home.  If you can help out with the Team’s work, please contact Jean-Francois at jfviau@ville.montreal.qc.ca or by phone at 514-872-3568.  Stephani can be reached at circle.associates@rogers.com or by phone at 613-302-2235.
